Major Events in Act-2: A Doll's House

 Major Events:

  • Nora anxiously worrying about whether Krogstad will write to Torvald revealing her secret.
  • Nora asks about her children and hints at negative events to come.
  • The Nurse Anne looks after Nora and her child as well.
  • Nora tries to concentrate on the Tarentella party, to divert her disturbed mind.
  • Nora explains to Mrs. Linde, that Dr. Rank suffers from very dangerous tuberculosis.
  • Linde esquires about their relationship telling Dr. Rank is her 'rich admirer'.
  • Nora asks him to reconsider dismissing Krogstad from the bank.
  • Nora says If Krogstad dismissed, he will attempt to degrade them in the newspaper.
  • Torvald is beyond reproach, and it's impossible to change his mind.
  • Torvald says he will take upon himself everything that comes their way.
  • Dr. Rank reveals that he expects to be dead within a month.
  • Nora thought to ask financial help from Dr. Rank, but he confess his love for her.
  • She just light the lamp and brings the conversation into safer ground.
  • Krogstad, asks Nora for an explanation for his dismissal from the bank.
  • He drops the letter in the mail box, Linde says she could help Nora.
  • Nora prevent Torvald using tricks to keep him away from reading letters.
  • At the end Nora was alone, thinking that she has Thirty One hours to live.
