A Sonnet

Ode to the Night and Dawn

Summer of gloomy night, you stimulate me to write.
I’m afraid of your deep silence, and creepy grope,
Colonizing my mind through the dark night,
Always dreaming about dawn and heliotrope.

Let me compare you to a scary clown
You are more haunting, mortal and ferocious.
Hot-Day sun heats the peaches of June,
And summertime makes you more vicious.

Dear night, be gentle, I know your love sways.
Look how your lady raises, and she smiles bright.
Her crimson lips, golden hair fill my days.
And, I know your love for her in audacious height.

Now I must depart with a benchmark heart,
Think of my virtuous words while we're apart.
